Kildare EU Club operates on a very flexible basis. Skills of each member are valued and supported. Our activities are based on enthusiasm and volunteerism of the members.

The activities of KEUC vary. Here are some of the activities we were engaged in:

Family Fun Day

Increasing number of young families inspired us to organize the Family Fun Day which was held in December 2009. It was a very nice event which gathered around 40 kids and adults. The folk ensemble Ostroha (Slovak) created the unique atmosphere as well as the Devil 1 (Mato), Devil 2 (Tony), Angel (Sergej) and the Santa. It was coordinated by Martin Bucek and his family. Media EX produced a DVD for all participants. This event was supported by County Kildare Leader Partnership.

Go for vote campaign

Even if we have been new citizens in Ireland we have a right to take part in the local elections. We found important to inform people abut their right and to acknowledge them about the process how to vote and in cooperation with KNIT Project and KTA Ltd. we produced and disseminated the Go For Vote Guide. Go For Vote became a campaign and we took a part on the Active Citizenship Training organized in Naas. Campaign coordinator on behalf of KEUC was Eliska.

Qualification Recognition

We have realized that our qualification is hardly recognized by the employers or the educational bodies in Ireland. Therefor we organized 3 sessions in different towns to inform people about the process of qualification recognition. Qualification recognition authority delivered very helpful general presentation and one-to-one sessions. This project was supported by County Kildare Leader Partnership and coordinated by Eliska.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
